Loving Brother with satisfaction I imbrace the Present moments to communicate to you a few imperfect lines wherein I present you my tenderest Regards informing you that we are all in comfortable health except ma-am. She being taken with one of her old turns altho She enjoyed better health last summer then She has for many years. I have no news to write of much importance but thinking it would be a satisfaction to hear from ma-am and the rest of your friends I will inform you where we live and how we fair. I was married the 30th day of last May and moved in with B Brigham where we expect to live till April then I shall move to the Hall place if I can get rid of E Hall. You wrote that you wished to hear who Bought the farm where we formally lived. It was sold at Auction last May to A. Dean for ten Hundred and thirty Dollars. Then ma-am moved to the Brick House where she lived till last fall then She moved her goods to Mr. Parkham's. I went his calf ?? to Greenwich and stayed two months in the spring I expect she will live with me. I will tell you to your great surprise that Mr. Parkman has got another son about three weeks old. They call his name Ebenezer. I have not heard from you since you wrote in Sept. til now. Was so happy to hear that you are doing well. You wrote that you was out of Debt. I wish I could say the same. The embargo Rubs hard. It is the undoing of our country. If it is not taken off it will fetch on a civil war. We hear frequently of Vessels going out and putting our Laws at defiance. It is hard for us all but we must Obey our Laws. Canady we hear has bin a fine market for your Country pork sells for 9 cents but here for 5. But they say that Jeffersons men have put a catch to it now. Mr. Dean tells me that you and yor wife is contented. He says John B. Harwood grows finely. Give my Respects to with my wife to Any. Tell her that we should like to see her enjoy her new son. I shall expect your document write with all your family. Please to write the first opportunity. I must end with sub??? being my name your Loving Brother.
