Ruth A. (Wilson) Frank, beloved wife of Karl E. Frank, passed away peacefully on May 22nd 2017.

Ruth grew up in the Schenectady, N.Y. area as part of a very musical family. The Wilson Quartet was a popular group in the area of which her father was the piano player. The talent continued in the family as Ruth and her twin sister Betty were periodic guests on the radio station WOKO singing harmony with Ruth playing the ukulele.

Ruth graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, and continued her education at Mildred Elley Business School.

Post- graduation, she worked at the General Electric Co. as an Executive Secretary for the Electrical Engineering Division.

In 1948, she met Karl on a blind date and married him six months later! They would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this June 4th.

Her family had strong ties to the Lake George, N.Y. area in general, and Bolton Landing, N.Y. in particular, with family connections to the start of the Sagamore Hotel. Mr. Brown's Pub at the Sagamore is named in honor of her relative Myron Brown. The picture of Mr. Brown that hangs in the pub today was donated to the Sagamore by Ruth. In the 1960's, Ruth and Karl ran the Shadybrook Campground on Horicon Avenue.

Ruth was an avid videographer from back when not many knew what a movie camera was. As a result she was able to give each of her children, along with several of her nieces and nephews, movies of their childhoods. She painstakingly edited hours of video and preserved memories that are cherished by all who were recorded.

She loved to travel, and she and Karl took several trips to Europe, Germany, Ireland, and elsewhere. She once found a deal for a three-day trip to Europe and jumped at the chance to travel to England just to experience a "High Tea."

She was very proud of her doll collection which contains many collectables, her favorites being her Shirley Temple collectables. She also had a large book collection and was very proud of her "Christmas Dicken's Village" which was so extensive it was once featured in the local newspaper.

During recent years, she and Karl frequented four special restaurants in the Glens Falls/Lake George area where they developed strong friendships with both employees and patrons, enjoying their time talking and reminiscing about the past. The family wishes to thank their wonderful friends at the Holiday Inn in Lake George, Carl R's, the Harvest and the Log Jam for the joy they brought.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Byron and Mary (O'Mara) Wilson, five siblings; Alice Terrio, Byron Wilson, Frances Lafforthun, Bob Wilson, and her twin sister; Betty De La Mater.
