Mark was a 1984 graduate of Dalton High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a member of ChristChurch Presbyterian and was also a big influence in many medical communities.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.L. and Maude Tatum, and John and Mary Eddie Ellis.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Ryann Ellis and children, Marlee Ellis, Claire Ellis and Counsel Payne all of Dalton; mother, Janice Tatum Ellis of Dalton; father, Larry Ellis of Apison, TN; mother-in-law, Linda Ray Center of Gulf Shores, Alabama and formerly of Dalton; grandmother-in-law, Claire Ray of Dalton and many special friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. from ChristChurch Presbyterian with the Rev. Larry Flanagan and the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
