After moving from Pennsylvania with his parents and siblings to western Virginia (now Pendleton County, WV), Philip Waldren served in the Rev. War 1780 - 1781 with the Virginia Militia, participating in actions in western Virginia as well as the Yorktown Campaign. In 1802 he moved to Vinton County in southern Ohio where he established his home for the rest of his life. In 1812 at the age of 50, he served as a Corporal with Martin Armstrong's Co.Philip Waldron was born on April 10, 1761, in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania,USA. His parents were George Waldron , and Annetia Hagerman. He married his first wife (Anna Catherine Keller)on April 10, 1786. On April 29, 1824, he married his second wife (Bythama Moss). He passed away on January 1,1857 in Richland Township, Vinton County, Ohio, USA.[1][2] at the impressive age of 95.

Philip Waldron moved from Pennsylvania with his parents and siblings to western Virginia (which is now Pendleton County, West Virginia).In 1802 he moved to Vinton County in southern Ohio where he established his home for the rest of his life.

Philip Waldren served in the Revolutionary War from 1780 until 1781 with the Virginia Militia, participating in actions in western Virginia as well as the Yorktown Campaign. In 1812 at the age of 50, he served From April 11th until may 12th 1813, and April 11th until May 12th 1814, as a private in Captain Berry's Company from Pickaway and Ross Counties[4]He is also said to have served as a Corporal with Martin Armstrong's Company.[5]
