Mrs. Caffey died Feb. 27, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Gilmer to the late Isaac Eugene and Bonnie Bessie Stephens. She graduated from Gilmer High School and North Texas State College. She began teaching in Gladewater Independent School District and also taught in Hawkins ISD and Big Sandy ISD. She was a member of Gladewater First United Methodist Church, where she taught and was former president of Dorcas Bible Study Club, and a member of Longview Christian Women's Connection, and Gladewater Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Nunnally and Ballard Caffey; and son, Randall Jay "Randy" Nunnally.
Survivors include daughter, Nancy Holly, Longview; stepson, W.B. Caffey Jr.; stepdaughter, Virginia Caffey Pate; one grandson; four stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are members of Caffey Friendship Class of First United Methodist Church.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
