Born in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Edgar L. Henry and Lelia Mae Fritzman.
He had worked at Fairchild in Hagerstown, Md. and then was transferred to Boeing-Vertol, serving as an aircraft mechanic for many years. Afterwards he had been in charge of shipping and receiving for Braunstein’s for many years.
He served in the United States Air Force.
He liked many activities, especially hunting and watching NASCAR.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Hovermale, Berkeley Springs; one son, Shawn Henry, Townsend, Del.; five grandchildren, Rodney Hovermale, Berkeley Springs, Jennifer El, Middletown, Del., Thomas Henry, Jr., Wenonah, N.J., Shawn Henry, Jr. and Amber Henry, both of Townsend and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Irene Crites Henry; one son, Thomas Henry; one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be private.
