Mrs. Jessie Lee "Jackie" Murray passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine, Texas, at the age of 90.
Mrs. Murray was born December 4, 1926, in Hedley, Texas, to parents Arthur Lee Armstrong and Pearl Elizabeth Fortenberry Armstrong and a member of Melrose Baptist Church for a number of years. She had been a longtime resident of the Chireno/Nacogdoches area.
Her survivors include her son, Johnny S. Lesley; daughters, Debra Bannister and Cindy Dunn; grandchildren, Jarrod Lesley, Kelley Lesley, Jordan Lesley Wadleigh, Jamie Bradley, Brian Bannister, and Dana Bannister; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Minford Eugene Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pearl Armstrong; and a daughter, Dianne Honea.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf's Sunset Chapel, Nacogdoches. Private burial will follow at Lower Chireno Cemetery in Chireno.
