James Edward Lane, age 78, a Coalgate resident, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Coalgate, OK., 78 years, 2 months and 16 days. He was born on April 18, 1939, to Willie and Minnie Mae (Davis) Lane, at Ashland, OK.

He attended school at Ashland, graduating in 1958. James worked in the construction field as a soil stabilization supervisor and was a rancher. A veteran, he proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. James married Mary Alice Munn on February 14, 1999 at Stuart, OK. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Coalgate where he was baptized May 6, 2017. He enjoyed ranching.

(Pete) Lane & wife June of Ashland, OK, Troy Truman Lane of Naples, TX, Leonard J. Lane & wife Barbara of Burleson, TX, Sister: Carolyn Sue Hammer & husband Steve of Arlington, TX, Brother-In-Law: Lee Munn & wife Colleen, Grandchildren: Alicen Pettigrew, Troy Newman, Beau "D" Shannon, Zack & Tori Kingston, Darby Kingston, Emily & Taylor Airington, Sam Kingston, Patrick Kingston & Lilly Burns, Along with numerous nieces, nephews & dearly loved friends.
