Howard Arthur Marshall, Age 85, of Vernon, CT, formerly of Clinton, CT for many years, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2017 at Fox Hill Nursing Home after long fulfilled life.

Howard was born on July 14, 1931 in Bristol (Forestville), CT to the late Howard H. and Florence Marshall.

He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy - USS Pocono. He was employed as a chef at the University of Connecticut for many years before retiring. Howard was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who cherished time spent with family.

He enjoyed the ocean and especially his beloved sailboat.

Howard is survived by his daughter Deborah Marshall of Vernon, CT; his three grandchildren, Michelle Carman and her husband Brian Carman of Enfield, CT, Jenna Glidden of Enfield, CT and Corey Glidden of East Windsor, CT; his sister Phyllis Kinser and her husband George Kinser of Old Saybrook, CT; and dear friend April Sanchez of Manchester, CT.
Burial with Military Honors will be private and held at a later date in the Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
