Funeral services for Kenneth Boardman will be held Friday, July 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, with Brother Kevin Jones, Brother Paul Harris, and Brother Ernest Allen officiating. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Boardman, age 83, of the Goodwater community passed away on July 3, 2017 at his residence.
He was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Faith Baptist Church, and he was also a member of Builders for Christ of Lauderdale County. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Boardman retired from Bergen Brunswig after working many years as a sales representative. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children Veronica (Dennis) Hicks, Scott (Angela) Boardman; grandchildren, Cody (Krista) Hicks, Kyle (Amanda) Hicks, Katlyn Boardman, and Cameron Boardman; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hicks, Carter Hicks, and Wade Hicks; brothers, Bobby (Virginia) Boardman, Wayne (Glynn) Boardman; sisters, Betty Harris, Carolyn Smith, Rachel (James Robert) Kamper; brother-in-law George (Rita) Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fran Boardman; parents, Guy and Ida Boardman; sisters, Deloris Joiner, Opal Grace Boardman; and brother, Larry Boardman.
The family request memorials be made to Faith Baptist Church’s Building Fund or Builders for Christ of Lauderdale County ICO of Faith Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Harris, George Reed, John Cook, Ray Martin, Lee Martin, and HC Massey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Log Rollers Sunday school class of Faith Baptist Church.
