In explaining Don's life before I knew him is somewhat difficult. So I will tell you what I know. He was in the Navy and was a strong and astute man who never showed a shred of weakness. He was helpful and wise in many ways and will be remembered in many ways in all the hearts of everyone who knew him. He died of some form of cancer which now I can't remember. The last time I saw him was inside his house. I was giving him the plan for a project we were to start later in the week. He still seemed strong even in the vicious face of cancer. And that is how I want to remember him. Strong and courageous even in the face of certain death.
