Later moving to Saginaw, he was employed with and later retired, after 41 years of service, from General Motors. Mitchell was a member of UAW local #668. In 1996 he was united in marriage to Lisa Terrell. Mitchell loved helping others, cooking, gardening and playing cards.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lisa Watkins; five daughters, Davida, Michelle, Devin Bradford and Melanie and Shanieka Terrell, all of Saginaw, MI; two sons, Joelon Watkins of Saginaw and Marcini Watkins of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Valarie Pegram and Gayle Jones, both of Youngstown, OH; two brothers, Jerry Morton and Eddie Williams, both of Youngstown, OH; three aunts, Cremonia (John) Gibson, Mary (James) Brown, all of Saginaw and Betty Watkins of Detroit, MI;12 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special relative, Mose Gibson and close family friend, Carl Fraizer.
Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ulysses Watkins.
