Coach Richard "Dick" Moseley was born in Detroit, MI, Tuesday, August 1, 1933. He died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Moseley was a star football and baseball player at Eastern Michigan and spent multiple seasons in the Brooklyn Dodgers' organization after graduating college in 1955. He had a chance to participate in spring training and talk with players such as Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax.

Dick started out coaching football and swimming at Hazel Park High School in Hazel Park, MI in the late 1950's. Going on to coach football at several colleges, a list that includes Northern Iowa, Wichita State, Minnesota, California, Colorado, Kansas and Eastern Michigan. He also coached in the USFL and the Arena Football League and helped the Chicago bears sign players for their strike-replacement team in 1987. He was at Minnesota when Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy played there and helped encourage NFL teams to give former Northern Iowa quarterback Kurt Warner a chance after a successful AFL career.

Dick's parents: The late Thomas Benton and Katherine (Jones) Moseley; his late sister Dianne Moseley. Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy Ysebaert Moseley of Ft. Myers, FL; children, Mike (Lynn)Moseley of Minneapolis, MN, and Thomas (Ann Marie) Moseley of Highlands Ranch, CO; stepdaughter, Jenny (Bob) Gagan of De Pere, WI; stepson Tom (Michelle) Ysebaert of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren; Matt (Julia), Micah, Sam, Even, A.J., Audrey, Danny, Sammy and Maggie; brother, Bob (Barbara) Moseley of Ann Arbor, MI; further survived by many relatives and friends.

Dick Moseley was an excellent coach and an even better person. He left his positive mark on many of his young students, especially while at the high school level.
