Dean H. Seggerman, 72, of 2208 W. Wiswall died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at his residence.

Born Feb. 18, 1926, in Long Point to Reuben and Helen Spires Seggerman, he married Bernadine Osterman on June 30, 1973, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, T. Seggerman of Soldotna, Alaska; one daughter, D. Weingartner of Manhattan, Kan.; one stepson, Don Danley of Hanna City; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, including his twin brother.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 17 years, retiring in 1991. Prior to that, he was a chef for Jumer's Castle Lodge and the Canton Country Club.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 892 in Varna. He also was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 265 and Elks Lodge 20. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel. The Rev. Michael Borcherding will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded.

Memorials may be made to his Elks Lodge or his church.
