She moved to Lockport in 1991. She was employed by School Districts 92 and 113 for many years.
Dorothy volunteered at the Senior Center and the Gladys Fox Museum.
She enjoyed all sports. She loved to travel and enjoyed cooking. Dorothy was a social butterfly. She loved making new friends, but most of all Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Len Wagner; three children, Steve, Michael and John Wagner; three grandchildren, Vicky (Don) Huemmer, Ryan and Allie Wagner; a great-granddaughter, Veronica Huemmer; five brothers, Herbert, Edgar, Douglas, Eugene and Edward Mays. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Mable (Turner) Mays; a grandson, Robert Wagner; and a sister, Tessie Thompson.
