Carla Jean Baker, 62, of Nampa, died peacefully in the early morning on Saturday, July 1, 2017. She was born on October 4, 1954 in Nampa to Joseph “Reese” and Elaine Hendry. She lived in Melba, ID on her parent’s farm until the age of 10 when they began a new life in Nampa. She went to Nampa High School, where she met and later married Randy Baker. Carla spent many years working hard and providing for her family. She later divorced and with the help of family and friends, began a new life. She worked at JCPenny’s and for the Nampa School District, but her joy was caring for abandoned cats and dogs. She enjoyed flowers and picking berries with her father and going to sales.

Carla is survived by her mother, Elaine; two sons, Mark (Angela) Baker and Chad (Susan) Baker; grandchildren, Shellbie (Chip) Beckstead, Jessica Lloyd, Amanda Gilmore, Kristen (Austin) Brackley, Waylon Gilmore and Chad Kyle Baker; two sisters, Colleen Ortiz and Cindy (Don) Milbourn; many nieces and nephews and finally by her loving friend and companion, Robert “Bobby” Moore.

She is preceded in death by her father, Reese and her daughter, Kandi Sue.

Carla was a caring lady with a big heart and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Melba Cemetery.
