Johnny Carmon Fox, 71, of Roland Branch, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his home. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Isaac and Lyda Wright Fox. He was also preceded in death by sisters: Juanita Gibbs and Wilma Gail Gilbert; and a brother: Homer Fox.

Surviving are his wife: Judy Tipton Fox; 2 daughters: Wanda Gail Hammersla and husband, Tom, of Fairview and Miranda Fox of the home; 2 sons: Rick Fox of Eureka, MT, and Naamon Fox and wife, Rachel, of Burnsville; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Patsy Hatfield and Cora Lee Bailey of Burnsville; 3 brothers: Gene Fox and Daniel Fox of Burnsville and Melvin Fox of Pahrumph, NV.

A memorial service will be held at 3PM Saturday, July 8, 2017 in West Burnsville Church of God. Brother Randall Phillips will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3PM, prior to the service, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
