He was born in Richmond on Dec. 15, 1933, to Donald O. and Alice May (Parker) Beach and had lived all his life in the area, graduating from Richmond High School in 1954.
First and foremost, Lloyd was a dad who loved his family. He worked for over 30 years at Eaton Gear in Richmond and was a member of Friendship Community Church.
Survivors include his children, Diana (Eugene) Marcum, David Beach and Amy Hersey; grandchildren, Halli (Tim) Walker, Allison Hersey, Alaina (fiancé Matt Geres) and Blair Beach, and Lloyd (April) Marcum; and great-grandchildren, Jakob and Karter Marcum and Holly and Annie Walker.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Beach; his parents; a brother, William Beach; and a sister, Virginia Brumbaugh; and his long time pet companion, Minnie.
There will be a graveside memorial service at Elkhorn Cemetery in Richmond on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
