Bucy, Gregory S. Age 69, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2017. Greg grew up in Linden, TX, son of Dr. Roy Bucy and Mary Taylor Bucy. Greg was a heroic helicopter gunship pilot in the Vietnam War. He earned over 70 decorations for valor and meritorious service including 1 Silver Star, 3 Distinguished Flying Cross, 57 Air Medals (2 with Valor Device) and a Purple Heart. He was a dynamic person who lived larger than life. Greg was a hard worker and successful businessman who enjoyed the fruit of his labor traveling the Caribbean on his sailboat. It was there that he found the Lord. He was preceded in death by his son, Dylan Bucy; sister, Shane Bucy; and his parents. Greg is survived by his wife, Debbie; his 2 children, Brian Bucy and Micah Bucy; 5 grandchildren, Grace and Valory Bucy, Saylah, Ava and Ezra Moody; 2 sisters, Nancy Bucy Bowman and Shelly Bucy Anderson, and their families. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, at Calvary Chapel Wichita, 2161 S. Hillside. He will be interred in a family plot in Linden, TX at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Chapel Wichita and Passagewaysltd.org
