James Clifton "Cliff" Tyree, 69, passed away February 10, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He was born March 24, 1942 in Big Springs, Texas to Henry D. "Buck" Tyree and Mary Ellen (Miles) Tyree. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cliff is survived by his daughters Julie Tyree, and Jennifer Tyree Vaughn and husband Ron; grandson, Zachary Vaughn; brother, Larry Tyree and wife Marsha; and nephew, Chris Tyree. Cliff wanted everyone to know that he had the best life of anyone. He never had to work a day in his life; he did what he wanted to do everyday. Cliff leaves behind a legacy of being a landmark at the Houston Racquet Club where he worked for 40 years. He was a "tennis teacher"; over the last 40 years he has touched many lives and given many a lesson. Cliff was a great teacher and a man that was always looking to follow the rules and help anyone he could. He loved to play the guitar and sing which he did as often as he could. Cliff also leaves behind a huge group of friends who went above and beyond the call of co-workers and friends in helping him through recent health issues. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite charity in his honor. Cliff would like that. A celebration of Cliff's Life will be Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 5:00 pm at the Houston Racquet Club 10709 Memorial Dr. Houston, Texas 77024. Call 713-464-4841 for Details.
