Greenwood - Funeral services for Rev Dr James Preston Marion, 92, who died at his home in Greenwood Friday night after a long illness. Burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Born in Chester, SC, Dr Marion graduated fro Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC in 1900 and was a member of TKA Fraternity. He served as Minister at Sumter, SC Presbyterian Church before becoming Minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood in 1923, where he served until his retirement in 1944.

After his retirement, he served as Supply Minister for Greenville, Belzoni, Isola and Phillip.
