Roger "Skeet" "Grizz" Brooks 84, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 in St. Joseph, MO. He was born June 8, 1933 in Weston, MO, son of the late Gladys and Hallie Brooks. He graduated from Benton High School Class of 1951, and he was a member of the IBEW Local 545 for 65 years as an Electrician for 45 years. He also was the Business Manager for the local for 6 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Vivian Joyce Brooks, son, David Allen Brooks, companion, Sis Petro, brother, Warren Brooks, and a sister, Louise Magee. Survivors include sons, Roger (Susan) Brooks and Kenny (Tammy) Brooks both of St. Joseph, MO, daughters, Cathy (Everett) Lewis, Lake Jackson, TX and Diane (Randy) Dudik, Saint Joseph, MO, former wife, Loretta Brooks, St. Joseph, MO, brothers, Hallie Brooks and William (Phyllis) Brooks both St. Joseph, MO.
Graveside Funeral Services and Interment will be conducted on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
