age 74, h/o Mary McSweegan, s/o Michael A& Anna Murphy Finn, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 43rd Division 169th Infantry. He participated in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, and the Campaigns in Guadalcanal, New Guinea, New Georgia, the Solomon Islands, and the Phillipines. He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action and the Purple Heart for combat wounds, the Combat Infantry Badge and The Presidential Unit Citation. He received the Phillipine Liberation Medal with a Bronze Star, and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with four Battle Stars
