She was born on April 5, 1933 in Clifton Forge to the late Marvin Wesley Hambrick, Sr., and Madeline Dill.
She was also preceded by her husband, Carl Eugene Nicely; sister, Julia Eloise Hambrick; brother, Marvin W. Hambrick, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Sarah Hambrick.
She was a retired x-ray technician for the C&O Hospital, opened The Shoe Box and Sports Center in Covington with her husband, Carl, was a member of the Clifton Forge Baptist Church, the Marian Fields Missionary Circle and the Red Hat Belle Society having served as the Queen Mother.
She is survived by two nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Reverend Matthew O'Meara officiating assisted by the Reverend Mark Hambrick and Reverend Bill Hartsfield.
Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor.
