Robert William Stonesifer, 71, who resided with a daughter, Mrs. Carl Angell, Taneytown, died at 3:30 this morning in the Pullen Nursing Home, Sykesville, Md., after a lengthy illness. His wife, the former Mary Gordon Stonesifer, died a number of years ago.
He was the son of the late Mahlon and Annie Fuss Stonesifer.
In addition to Mrs. Angell he is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Truman Hahn, Taneytown;
Mrs. John Krenzer, Hanover, and Mrs. Joseph Sanders, Emmitsburg; seven grandchildren, six brothers and sisters; Mrs. Reno Eyler, Mrs. Charles Copenhaver and Edgar Stonesifer, Emmitsburg;
Mrs. Charles Myers, Thurmont; Roy Stonesifer, Chicago, and Leonard Stonesifer, Arkansas.
He was a member of Elias Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg, the Eagles, Gettysburg, and an honorary member of the Vigilante Hose Co., Emmitsburg.
