A memorial service for Douglas Wayne (Jack) Massey, age 81, of Lake Brownwood will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lake Brownwood. He passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, after a brief illness. He is survived by Lenora Tisdale Massey, his wife of 62 years; five sons, Billy and wife Debbie of Lake Brownwood; Lonnie and wife Robin of Fort Worth; Terry and wife Karen of Amarillo; Daryl and wife Pat of Chesapeake Va., and Wren of Houston; sister Alma McCourt of Havana, Ark.; brother Perry Massey of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother-in-law Gilbert Bowman; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Carnes and Edna Massey; a sister, Imogene Bowman; and brother-in-law Melvin McCourt. He grew up and lived most of his adult life in Plainview where he retired as an engineer for Southwestern Public Service.
