Mr. Jerry Lee Daniel, age 71, of Franklin passed away Thursday June 29, 2017.
A funeral service for Mr. Daniel was conducted Saturday July 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Roquemore officiating.
Mr. Daniel was born November 29, 1945 in Heard County to the late Noah Lee Daniel and Agnes Pike Daniel. He was a Baptist by faith, and had been attending Olive Branch Baptist Church.
He loved to work outdoors, and always had a garden each year. He put his talents to great use as a dedicated employee of the Heard County Board of Commissioners, where he was a superintendent for the Road Maintenance Department, and had recently retired after many years of service.
Family was at the center of his life. His most precious times were spent with his children and grandchildren at family get-togethers. He loved to cook and have everyone gathered around for a hearty meal. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Daniel of Franklin; one son: Rodney Daniel and his wife, Joanna, of Franklin; five grandchildren: Abby Daniel, Kacie Daniel, Mayla Daniel, Connor Adams, and Marvin Rachalla; two sisters-in-law: Marie Davis (Allen) and Beth Nopwaskey (George) all of Franklin; a special niece, Allison Nopwaskey; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Melvin Daniel and Dwight Daniel.
