Jimmy Neal McKinnon, 68, of Marion, passed away Sunday February 25, 2007, in the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn. Mr. McKinnon was born in Smyth County to the late Roscoe and Helen "Frankie" McKinnon and was a member of the Russell's Chapel in Marion. He was a talented musician and carpenter who loved hunting, fishing and bluegrass music. Survivors include his wife, Jill Worthington McKinnon; three children, Debbie Greer and husband Frank, Chilhowie, Keith McKinnon, Marion, Kevin McKinnon, Marion; one grandson, Travis Greer; one sister, Linda Freeman and husband Tom, Chilhowie; one brother, Ronnie McKinnon and wife Jeaneane, Marion; several nieces and nephews including special niece, Stephanie McKinnon and special nephew, Colton McKinnon; special family friends, Carson Cooper, Diane McKinnon, Lisa Bogle and Ashley Dill. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herman Cress and the Rev. Tracy Puckett officiating. Interment will be Thursday in the Shuler Cemetery in Grayson County, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the Wellmont Hospice House 280 Steels Road Bristol, Tenn. 37620.
