Charlotte Helga "Doris" (Hofmann) Hicks was born on December 7, 1938 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany to Sophie Anna Elise (Collmann) and Otto Hofmann. She married Grady Moody Hicks of Uvalde on July 4, 1956, in Hanau am Main, Germany. She is survived by four sons, Thomas Hicks of Kerrville, and Kim Hicks, Alan Hicks and Mike Hicks, all of Fredericksburg; one adopted daughter, Heidi Brewer of Bethany, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex husband; and one sister.
