Larry Paul Kemper, Sr. of Miami, OK passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Summers Health Services in Okeene, OK. He was 79.
Larry was born April 5, 1938 in Miami, OK to Homer E. and Mildred (Matthews) Kemper. He was lifetime Miami area resident.
He graduated from Miami High School and attended N.E.O. A&M College in MIami. He worked at B.F. Goodrich and was a farmer and rancher.
Larry married Donelda “Donnie” (Swaim) Kemper December 25, 1959. She preceded him in death January 2, 2012.
Survivors include 2 sons Larry P. Kemper, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Broken Arrow, OK and Kevin Kemper and wife Marsha of Miami, OK, 1 daughter Kimberly Waeger and husband Kyle of Tulsa, OK, 1 brother Homer Kemper and wife Judy of Grove, OK, 1 sister Patsy Colleen Lee of Miami, OK and his grandchildren Zackary & Savanna Kemper, Robert Kemper, Corey Spence, Kylee Kemper, John Shelton and Jacob Shelton.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zackary Kemper, Robert Kemper, Corey Stence, Jacob Shelton and Nicholas Swaim and John Estes and Honorary Pallbearer will be Brad Kemper. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Funeral Home Chapel. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK
