Warren W. Lee, Sr. died at age 99 on October 23 at Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital in Johnstown, CO.
He was preceded by his wife Patricia L. Lee, who died in November 2004.
Born in Kearny, NJ, he grew up in Roosevelt, NY, and graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in advertising design.
He served in the US Army during World War II as a Technical Sergeant in the European campaign, including Battle of the Bulge.
He subsequently worked at several advertising agencies in New York, NY, followed by staff art director positions at Clairol and Reader's Digest.
An avid skier until age 85, he won numerous downhill racing medals after his 70th birthday.
He is survived by three children, Patricia Meyers (and her husband William) of Aurora, Warren Lee Jr. and Deborah Lee, both of Denver, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
After moving to Colorado from Kent, CT in 2008, he became a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fort Collins (4610 Hogan Dr.), where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2016.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Church. A memorial service is planned for April 2017.
