Dawn D. Cox, age 60 of Ottawa Lake, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at her home.
She was born May 18, 1957, in Adrian, Michigan, the oldest child of James and Lois (Vest) McClenathen, and graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1975.
On August 27, 1977, Dawn married David Cox, and they have shared almost 40 years together.
Dawn has worked in the banking industry for several years, most recently at TLC Credit Union, where she was in the mortgage lending area.
In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by their children, Jacob (Marci) Cox of Temperance, and Sarah (William) Dorris of St. Clair, Shores; grandchildren, Ashley Perdue, Zachary Putman, and Malakai and Kalib Dorris; brothers, Dean (Gloria) McClenathen of Ogden Center and Dan (Chris) McClenathen of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield with Chaplain Liz Knuth officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m.
