He was born April 23, 1937, in Elkhart County to Morris and Beulah (Suter) Hartman.
Surviving is an aunt, Blanche Nichols of Elkhart; cousin Frank Nichols of Elkhart; and two second cousins, Kari Nichols of Elkhart and Josh Nichols of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harold graduated in 1955 from Nappanee High School. He enjoyed collecting guns, watching NASCAR and antique cars. Harold was a self-employed meat cutter and at one time was president and vice president of the Elkhart Farmers Market.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1-2 pm Friday, May 10, 2013, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. A procession will form at 2 pm Friday, May 10, 2013, at the funeral home and will proceed to Frame Cemetery where graveside services will be rendered by Pastor Carl Henry from Northside Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association.
