LaVerne met and married Bill Wallace while he was in the Army in San Francisco, CA. They later moved to Ottawa, Bill's hometown.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chapter AU of the P.E.O., Entre Nous Club, Bridge Club.
She loved helping others and enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, going out with friends and most of all she loved her family.
LaVerne was proceeded in death by her husband Bill and Son Scott. She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine (Louis) Toth and Laurie Kuechler, one son Thurston (Margaret) several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
