He was born on 10/24/1939 to Morris Leon and Ella Mae Lemon Jeppson in College Ward, Utah. After high school, Jake served in the US Army from 12/57-12/60. He was stationed in NY where he met his first love, Genevieve (Jenny) Guralny. He brought his new bride back to Cache Valley. They were married for 20 years and had 6 children, Steve (Janet), Pete (Tiffany), Joel (Holly), Tina (Wayne May), Cheryl and Stefanie. They later divorced.
Jake's greatest pride in his life were his children and raising and breeding his prize winning appaloosa horses. He loved being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He wrote cowboy poetry his whole life which he enjoyed performing and sharing with others. Jake held many jobs some of which were ranching, farming, machine work, trucking and construction. He went USU and graduated in 1990 with a BS in Sociology/Social work. Jake had many relationships and marriages but he finally met the love of his life, Patricia (Kai) Enloe. They had both had many struggles in their lives and met at AA. They were married on 10/21/2010 and later sealed in the Logan temple on 02/04/2012. She preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Providence 9th Ward Chapel located at 180 S. 485 W. in Providence, Utah at 1:00 pm, Saturday June, 17. A visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30-12:30 at the same chapel. Interment will follow at the Providence City Cemetery with Military Honors.
