She was born on September 25, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky. Leslie was a 1982 graduate of North Central High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of Georgia. Leslie held a Masters of Science - Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Leslie was the Department Chair of Business Administration and an Assistant Professor at Ivy Tech Community College in Warsaw, Indiana. During her time at Ivy Tech Leslie was dedicated to student success and used her extensive business leadership experience to help learners address real-world business challenges. Leslie also enjoyed a very successful career in human resources, having served as the Global Director of Human Resources for a large engineered materials company and as the Senior Manager of Human Resources for a top-10 defense contractor.
Leslie is survived by her husband David Carnes and daughter Alicia Carnes of Warsaw, Indiana, her mother Barbara Liebschutz, her sisters Shary Moulton (Jeffrey), and Lisa Liebschutz, her brother Scott(Rebecca) Nathan , her nieces Jordan Moulton, Dylan Moulton and Libby Nathan, her nephew Lyle Nathan as well as extended family and friends from Indiana and throughout the country.
She was preceded in death by her father Dr. Norman Liebschutz.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Beth-El Zedeck Cemetery North, Fishers, IN.
