Samuel Lee Reynolds, age 80, of Troy died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Mr. Reynolds was born June 26, 1936 in Albemarle, NC the son of the late Reuben Bascom and the late Mary (Harris) Reynolds.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Collins & Aikman as a Fixer for many years.

He is survived by one son, James (Yana) Reynolds of Asheboro, NC; one daughter, Donna (Jerry) Brown of Star, NC; one sister, Martha R May of Brentwood, TN; 4 Grandchildren - Jamie Brown, Brooks Paschal, John Reynolds, and Luke Reynolds; 2 Great -Grandchildren, McKenzie Brown and Isiah Fields.

Mr. Reynolds was a loving and kind father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf, doing jigsaw puzzles and basically watching any sporting event. He was an avid Carolina TarHeel fan.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC. Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Pugh-Troy Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tommy Robertson. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery, Troy, NC with Military Honors.
