MARSHALL — Services for Johnny Ed Howe, 73, of Lodi, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at First Christian Church in Panhandle. Arrangements are by Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Howe was born May 14, 1939, in Borger, and died December 6, 2012, in Marshall.

Memorial services for Mr. Johnny Ed Howe, 73, of Lodi will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday December 15, 2012 at First Christian Church in Panhandle, Texas. Mr. Howe passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Marshall, TX.

He was born May 14, 1939 in Borger, Texas to Jay Floyd and Glenna Whitfill Howe.

Johnny worked as a helicopter pilot for Exxon for 30 years. He was also a civilian instructor for the military helicopter pilots of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Howe was a farmer and rancher in East Texas, West Texas and South Dakota and resided in Lodi, Texas. He was an avid fisherman. Johnny was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Surviving Johnny Ed are one daughter, Kimberly Howe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sons, Jay Don Howe of Marshall and Johnny Wade Howe of Lodi; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one sister, Jan Gasstevens of Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jay Ray Howe.
