THE LATE LOUIS PINARD WAS INTERRED YESTERDAY AT SANTA CLARA
- --
DECEASED WAS A RESIDENT OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY FOR FORTY YEARS.
- --
Many relatives and friends of the late Louis Pinard attended the funeral services held in honor of his memory yesterday morning at St. Patrick's Church. The Rev. Father Mallon sang the solemn requiem mass, assisted by St. Patrick's choir, under the leadership of Mrs. D.J. Gairaud. After the final absolution the remains were carried to the waiting hearse by friends of the deceased. They were Messrs. Carmichael, Regli, Degenis, Kirby and Fogarty. The interment took place in Santa Clara Cemetery, where the body was placed in the family vault.

The late Louis Pinard was born in the old and historic town of Nicolet Province of Quebec, Canada. Forty years ago he came to California and located in Santa Clara County. For over 22 years he was employed at Notre Dame Convent as a carpenter, and having accumulated a small fortune, he purchased an orchard near Madrone. He resided there until last Saturday, when he came to the Irving Sanitarium to submit to a surgical operation. Dr. Gerlach was his attending physician and, together with his family, did everything possible to make the operation successful. However, it appears that it was too late, and the deceased, after lingering a few days, passed away last Tuesday. To the end he was cheerful and was buoyed up with hopes that he would ultimately recover.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Philomene Pinard, the deceased leaves the following children and relatives to mourn his loss: Rose, Marie, Alfred and Joseph Pinard of San Jose, and Mrs. O.W. Lefevre. He was a brother of Tony Pinard of Portland, Or., Joseph Pinard of Tacoma, Wash., J.B. Pinard of Seattle and Mrs. Normandin.
