Mr. "Garfield," as he was known, was a dedicated member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, serving as an usher and trustee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his son, Rickey Harris; daughters, Phylis White of Memphis, Sheila Newton of Little Rock, Beverly Barnes of Trumann, Cheryl Burnett of Jonesboro and Kimberly Wells of Gosnell; 34 grand-children; 42 great-grand-children.
Services were held at St. John Missionaary Baptist Church. Burial was in Cherry Bean Cemetery directed by Woodard's Marked Tree Funeral Service.
