Services for Bruce Waters, 61, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Pastor Don Herring and Pastor Jamie Eitson officiating.

Burial will follow at Starrville Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Waters passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at The Hospice of East Texas after a prolonged illness.

He was born April 10, 1956, in Temple to O.E. and Betty Waters.

Bruce grew up in Starrville and attended Chapel Hill High School. He owned a successful paint and body shop and had a passion for cars, fishing, and his dogs. His happiest times were spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Park Heights Assembly of God.

He is survived by his loving family including his parents, O.E. and Betty Waters; daughter, Tera Katherin Walker and husband Josh; son, B.J. Waters and wife Lindsay; grandchildren, Bailey and Kate Walker; brother, Bobby Joe Waters; and sister ,Suzan Nick.

Pallbearers will be Josh Walker, Jared Reed, Jason Reed, Kenny Ray, Scotty Cooper and Rick Hall.

Visitation is scheduled from 6- 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
