Nelson, Melanie Jean "Mel" age 59 of Boston, MA, died March 29, 2016. Born in Rockville Center, NY. After family moved to Minnesota, she lived in Bloomington and attended Jefferson High School and Normandale Community College. She served in the US Air Force. Survived by daughter, Angela (Jayson) McPeak; grandchildren, Gavin and Jade; parents, Conrad and Marilyn Nelson; sister, Karen (Dan) Cooke; brother, Jim (Cherie) Nelson; and many nieces and nephews. Melanie was loved by family, neighbors and many friends. She was kind, caring and very generous. An avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan. A service of comfort, peace and joy will be held at Mt.
