Dr. Shirley B. Munns, 74, 520 S. Campus Ave., Oxford, retiree physician and member of a well-known Oxford family, died Monday in Mercy Hospital. His father, the late Dr. C. O. Munns, practiced medicine in Oxford during most of the first half of this century. The Munns homestead and office at Campus Avenue and High Street was the place of birth of Dr. Shirley B Munns. It is now a Miami University fraternity house. He attended Miami University.
Dr. Shirley B. Munns practiced in Chicago as a nationally known eye-ear-nose and throat specialist until retirement about three years ago, when he returned to Oxford to make his home. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jeanne Zavitz Munns, former concert pianist, Oxford, and other relatives.
