Born on August 8, 1917, in Clay County, IL, he was the son of John and Sophie Caiteaux Sullens. On October 13, 1939, he married Vivian R. Wilkins and she preceded him in death on May 11, 2005.
He was a retired Owner/Operator of Sullens Tank Truck Service.
Survivors include one son, Ronald L. Sullens and his wife Theresa of Lawrenceville; grandsons, Shannon Sullen of Mt. Carmel, Steven Eastin of Flora, Scott Sullens of Kentucky; one granddaughter, Tracy Dune of Charleston; one brother, Herman Sullens of Clay City; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City, IL.
Burial was in the Clay City Cemetery in Clay City.
