Jerold was an Air Force veteran and retired from the State of Michigan. Using his technical computer skills, Jerold helped to develop many records for the Find A Grave website and was an avid genealogist. He loved photography and capturing the lives of his family.
On October 2, 1965, he was united in marriage to Vicki Smith who survives him. A dedicated family man, he is also survived by his three daughters, with their husbands and grandchildren: Dawn (Matthew) Kennedy and sons, Jacob, Thomas, and Isaac; Debra (Dion) Jones and daughters, Katelyn (Duncan Flannery) and Jessica; Deanne (Thomas) Kelleher and children, Thomas and Julie.
He is also survived by four sisters: Donis (George) Whitaker, Doris (John) George, Janice (Jerry) Parkhurst, and Kathy (Gary) Thompson; and a brother-in-law, Ron Krebs.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Rosetta (Munn) Zaikowski, a brother, Duane Zaikowski, and a sister, Darlene Krebs.
Private burial was held in Delta Center Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Red Cross, the Greater Lansing Food Bank, or the Sparrow Foundation, Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of Jerry.
