Son of the late Erna (nee. Dickert) and Lucien St. Amand.
Murdered while on the job at the Queensway Drive-In, Ottawa. Rodney Keeping was convicted of the murder. He had been recently released from prison at that time. Deceased approx. 1990.

Eddie was smart, generous, and loved by many. His family and friends were heart-broken by his loss. Gone at the young age of 31, Eddie was knowledgeable beyond his years. He loved rock music and played guitar. He was almost larger than life.

He "ran the show" at the Queensway Drive-In for many years, as the projectionist. As well as doing his job, he often made time to chat with fellow employees or patrons who dropped by the projection booth.

The Drive-In was popular and had been running for over 20 yrs. No-one could have expected the evening of May 30, 1985 to end in senseless tragedy at the Queensway. He is missed and remembered by many.

Symbolically, the Drive-In was closed due to bad weather the night after his death ; the first and only time since it opened in 1964. It closed permanently a year later.
