Peter G. Flynn, 79, passed away on June 21, 2017. Peter was born in Co. Leitrim, Ireland and lived in Queens Village, NY & Clinton, CT during his life. Loving husband of the late Anne C. Beloved father of Mary Anne (Patrick L.) Poeschl and Eileen Flynn. Cherished grandfather of Brian, Connor, Catie, Kevin and Joe Poeschl. Dear brother of Kathleen (Seamus) Moran, Peggy (Francis) Boyle and the late Mary, Patrick, Bridgie and Michael. Peter is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Peter was proud to be an Original Met and worked as a groundkeeper for 50 seasons from 1962-2011 at the Polo Grounds, Shea Stadium & Citifield.

Friends may visit Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at R. Stutzmann & Son 2000 Hillside Ave. New Hyde Park, NY. Funeral mass Monday 10:45am at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel (Queens Village, NY). Interment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery (Bronx, NY).

St. Peter stood by the pearly gates
With his list of who gets in
When who should come walking up
But the gentleman Peter Flynn

"Well Pete it's good to see you
And you know you're just the man
Our infield's looking shoddy
I hope you have a plan"

And once the job is finished
There'll the cold ones that's for sure"
