John was born in Italy, Province of Benevento, town of Cusano Mutri, to the late Altieri & Vittoria Maria (Iammartino) Creta.

He had 10 brothers & sisters; Antonette (Creta) Melchionna of FL(now deceased), Fernanda (Creta) Arduini of Woodbridge, CT, the late Luciano Creta of West Haven, CT, the late Maria (Creta) Digoia of Village Lakes, FL, the late Rolando Creta of West Haven, CT, and Maria Pina (Creta) Morytko of Ocala, FL, Silvana Creta of Wallingford, CT, & Frank Creta, of Seymour, CT. He was predeceased by 4 brothers; 2 who died in infancy in Italy and his brother Rolando, his brother Luciano, and a sister Maria (Creta) DiGioia.

John immigrated to America in the late 1950's with his mother and most of his brothers and sisters; to join his father and oldest brother and sister who immigrated here in the early 1950's. He resided in West Haven, Connecticut and Cheshire, Connecticut for most of his life with his wife Jean and children Jaime and Jared before relocating to Charlotte, N.C. for the past 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter Jaime Lee Creta, of Charlotte, NC, and his son Jared Creta, of Charlotte, NC, both born to his 1st wife of 23 yrs, Jean Lee. He is also survived by his sister Fernanda Arduini of Woodbridge, CT, sister Maria Pina Morytko of FL, sister Silvana Creta of Wallingford, CT, and youngest brother Frank Creta of Seymour, CT. He left many nieces and nephews.

John was owner and operator of a successful construction business in Connecticut before relocating with his wife to NC. He loved wrestling, martial arts, body building, Italian food and RVing.

John, you are finally free --Free from all the cruel suffering you endured during the last months of your life. You are now united in Christ with your brothers, sisters and parents in God's loving grace. I hope your mother, father, sister and brothers greeted you on the other side.
