Donald Eugene Plymale passed away June 24, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Don was 69 years old, the youngest of four children, born to John and Lois Bucy Plymale on April 26, 1948. He was born, raised, and prospered in Broadwater County.

Don served his country in the Army Reserves, 396th Medical Unit, from 1967-1973.

Don grew up working every day on the family farm and ranch. Later he leased and worked his own land. He worked construction until founding his own company, Baldy Mountain Construction, in 1993. He left his mark throughout the community with his building and random acts of kindness and service.

Don always felt a strong sense of love and duty toward his parents, siblings, and children….Joe, Wendy, Mykal, and longtime friend, co-worker, and honorary son, Doug Arden.

On April 1, 2016, Don married his lifetime friend and long-time companion, Linda Mae Campbell after a short 24 year courtship. With this courtship, Don added Chad Campbell and Brock Campbell along with their wives and children to his close-knit family.

Don enjoyed gardening, canning, exchanging recipes, cutting wood and spending time with his family. His life- long ambition was to become a logger! He loved his dogs Joey Moseman and Missy, and his cats Tries, Bookie and Bobbie.

Don was a member of the LDS church, which brought him strength and comfort during his times of struggle. Through prayer and his faith in his Heavenly Father, he found his peace.

Don will be remembered for his kind heart, honesty, integrity, loyalty, and his endless, unique sense of humor. As he would always say, “I’m a riot!” He had a way of always making people feel special and a sixth sense for knowing when people needed him the most.

Don is survived by his wife Linda, children Joseph, Wendy, Mykal (Dennis), Chad Campbell (Christi), Brock Campbell (Kelly), grandchildren Sidney, Troy, Michael, Diandra, Tory, and Litah, brother Jim Plymale, sister Barbara Carmack and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lois Bucy Plymale, sister Laura May Plymale Lean and Joey Moseman.

A visitation for Don will be held at the LDS church in Townsend on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service is set for Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church in Townsend, MT with a visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the church.
