Robert William "Bobby" Brothers, 63, of Hartwell Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine Florida. Bobby was born in Decatur, Georgia to Bill and Ruby Brothers. He spent much of his life in Clarkston and retired from Hanscomb Associates in greater Atlanta to Hartwell Georgia.
Lover of the lake, pork chops, and family, Bobby never met a stranger. He was passionate, hilarious, and lively and won any room over with his ability to tell stories and talk, no matter what the subject. He was called many affectionate names by many people like Robert, Bob, Bobby, Dad, Pap, Son, Husband, Brother, Boss, Friend and some other names that we won’t mention but were just as endearing. Bobby leaves behind his wife, and best friend, Ellen Griffith Brothers. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Ruby Brothers Jones of Blairsville Georgia. One of his favorite past times was meeting new people and telling them he and Ellen's great love story. Bobby was extremely loving and proud of his 3 daughters, Stephanie Perry (of Pearl, Mississippi - married to John), Jennifer Sack (of Richmond Hills Georgia - married to Marcus), and Melissa Shepherd (of Culver City California - married to Trevor) and his faithful dog, Moses. Bobby was very involved in each of his 8 grandchildren’s lives and loved to travel the country to visit each of them. These grandchildren include, Haley (19), Tennessee (15), J (12), Peyton (11), Jackson (7), Porter (5), Mason (4), and Deacon (2). Bobby was a Christian and is now reunited in Heaven with his father, Bill Brothers and his brother, Michael Brothers. A great man, a loving father, and a loving friend, Bobby will not soon be forgotten.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 am in the Chapel of the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell.
